Abstract
A new vibration sieve mechanism is designed in this paper. The degree of freedom of the mechanism is greater than the number of the input li nks. The dynamic equations of the system are strongly nonlinear. Numer ical analyses reveal that the dynamic responses of the sieve mechanism are nonperiodic and initial condition sensitive. This chaotic behavio r satisfies the uneven motion requirement of the vibration sieve.
