Abstract
A simple computational algorithm is presented for determining the Mark ov parameters of a multivariable linear system specified by a transfer function matrix or right matrix fraction description. In addition, th e procedure gives the observability/controllability index and the orde r of the minimal realization. The dual version of the algorithm can be used when the transfer function matrix is given by a left matrix frac tion description. Computational examples are given to show the feasibi lity of the suggested procedure.
