Abstract
The results of the dynamic stability investigation of the shaped cryst al growth process obtained by Pet'kov and Red'kin [J. Crystal Growth 1 04 (1990) 20] are analyzed. The approach that they used has at least t wo errors and leads to unacceptable results.
