The construct of change schema is developed and its possible dimension
s explained. Using data from two samples and both quantitative and qua
litative methods, we found that locus of control and organizational co
mmitment were related to specific dimensions of the construct. Dogmati
sm was not related in the specific manner hypothesized. Further, the h
ypothesized role of change schema as a mediator between these individu
al differences, general attitude toward change, and attitudes toward s
pecific changes was generally supported.
