Abstract
The fatty acid composition of 24 margarine samples has been analysed b y GLC using a cyanopropyl coated capillary column. The trans fatty aci d contents of most samples were clearly smaller than 10%. Only Sunflow er margarines contained higher armounts of trans fatty acids (8.6 to 2 1%).
