Abstract
Locally produced non-edible oil, namely, rice bran oil (R.B.O.) was ut ilized as starting materials for preparing new nonionic surfactant. Ox ypropylated diet monoesters of linoleic and rice bran oil fatty acids were prepared. Also amide oxime derivatives were obtained. Surface act ive properties of these compounds were measured. Under neutral conditi on amide oximes served as nonionic surfactants and their properties we re similar to other oxypropylated monoesters.
