Pb2MoO5 single crystals, obtained by the Czochralski method, find wide
application in acousto-optical devices. Their optical properties depe
nd on a number of factors, particularly on the purity and homogeneity
of the starting charge. In this paper we determine the influence of th
e Pb2MoO5 powder composition on the phase inhomogeneity of large dimen
sional Pb2MoO5 single crystals.
