Abstract
One of the most important benefits of the qualitative-quantitative deb ate in evaluation has been the increased awareness it has brought eval uators about philosophy of science. But evaluators are rarely philosop hers, and consequently their presentations of philosophical material m ay contain errors. This article highlights thirteen common errors of t his kind, and discusses some implications of these errors for the quan titative-qualitative debate.
