Abstract
Weighing and data technology is constantly becoming more important in the overall production and product economy. This can, on the one hand, be attributed to ''weight'' as a management magnitude and on the othe r hand to the association with other measurement magnitudes and data. It also has a basis in the diversity and ability to integrate of scale s in their peripheral field with its many branches. Weight determinati on, evaluation and processing, followed by monitoring and control of p lant and systems, and goods labelling, in which quality assurance and product economy are notable developments. The modular nature of the sy stems and their step-by-step construction ensures that they can be ext ended in the future. This kind of construction goes along with overall perfect logistical concepts in the optimization of entrepreneurial in dustry.
