Abstract
Dissolution enthalpies of the La2CuO4 and Nd2CuO4 phases have been def ined in the copper oxide melt. It has been shown that an abrupt change of the dissolution enthalpy of La2CuO4 at 1090 degrees C is attribute d to a change of complex type. The possibility of Nd2Cu2O5 crystalliza tion in the Nd2O3-CuO system was discussed.
