Abstract
The author reports a hue-year, replicated, cross-sectional design stud y, conducted al Boysville of Michigan. The two time intervals were ana lyzed for changes in the relationship between the dependent and indepe ndent variables relating to management style, job satisfaction, and se rvice effectiveness. The replication was approached against the change d context of service delivery during the past decade. Such contextual changes include reduced financial resources, differences in defining t he best interest of clients, an efficiency focus versus effectiveness, differing opinions about problem-solving strategies, and external acc ountability requirements versus professional service values.
