Abstract
The transient gratings in chinese tea solution were measured by degene rate Four wave mixing with 30 picosecond single laser pulse in two tim e regions. The fast response time of phase conjugate signal was measur ed as 15 ps. The decay signal superimposed on the ultrasonic modulatio n was also observed. This allows selective readout or gating of pulses in a pulse stream. That is, it is an optical AND gate.
