W. Grimmer, STRUCTURES OF JOB AND VOCATIONAL SATISFAC TION OF SPECIAL-EDUCATION TEACHERS, Zeitschrift fur Padagogische Psychologie, 9(2), 1995, pp. 63-71
After a short discussion of the lack of empirical research regarding j
ob and vocational satisfaction of special education teachers, the resu
lts of the administration of a standardized questionnaire to 129 teach
ers of learning disabled, language disabled and mentally retarded chil
dren are described. The degrees of <<general vocational satisfaction>>
, some specific aspects of satisfaction as well as tendencies of resig
nation and <<changing-the-job>> are presented. Furthermore, the struct
ures of job satisfaction, using multidimensional scaling techniques, a
re analyzed. Attention is focused on the comparison between the kinds
of schools and their structural differences.
