The electrical behaviour of hydroxyquinoline sulfonic acid and its com
plexes with Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II) or Cu(II) as well as its sa
lts with Li(I), Na(I) or K(I) were studied over the temperature range
294-420 K. All compounds behave like semiconductors. The stability con
stants were calculated at different temperatures in order to determine
the thermodynamic parameters Delta H, Delta G and Delta S for the com
plexes studied. The composition and structure of the complexes were fo
llowed using conductometric titration and IR measurements.
