Abstract
This paper presents the author approach to product optimization. The a pproach follows a sequence of steps, from identifying the factors unde r the developer's control, through experimental design, consumer evalu ation modeling; optimization, and reverse engineering. The steps are i llustrated by means of an example using three independent variables.
