Abstract
The relation between temperament and five dimensions of personality wa s investigated. Correlations between the Structure of Temperament Ques tionnaire (STQ) and the NEO-Personality Inventory (NEO-PI) indicated t hat only two emotionality scales of the STQ were highly correlated wit h the six facets of the Extroversion scale of the NEO-PL By means of a two-factor solution of STQ items, a new instrument was constructed. W hen correlated with the NEO-PI scales, the new instrument converged to the personality domains of Neuroticism and Extraversion.
