Hj. Kretzschmar et al., HPLC-ANALYSIS OF PHENOLIC ANTIOXIDANTS IN AQUEOUS MIGRATES OF RUBBER ARTICLES COMING IN CONTACT WITH POTABLE WATER, Deutsche Lebensmittel-Rundschau, 91(9), 1995, pp. 273-276
The present paper describes a HPLC-method for determination of seven p
henolic antioxidants admitted in the KTW-Recommendation ,,Natural and
synthetic rubber products''. Because of their low concentration in aqu
eous migrates a selective enrichment using solid phase extraction (SPE
) is indispensible resulting recoveries of 75-95%. The phenolic compou
nds are separated completely from each other by gradient elution with
acetonitrile/tetrahydrofurane/phosphoric acid (pH=2). They are measure
d quantitatively using an external standard. The HPLC-method may be us
ed for quality control of the specific migration from food contact rub
ber articles in routine.
