Abstract
Klauer's (1993) criticism concerning our evaluation of his training pr ogram relies on several misunderstandings, especially with regard to o ur evaluation hypothesis. The reproach of an unappropriate design in o ur study is unfounded. The important message of our article remains: K lauer's (1989) training program is in fact effective, but it is unclea r, what it exactly brings about in the trained child.
