G. Ravi et al., ON THE GROWTH AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MIXED-CRYSTALS OF THE TRIGLYCINE SULFATE FAMILY, Journal of crystal growth, 133(3-4), 1993, pp. 212-216
The effect of partial substitution of phosphate in triglycine sulphate
(TGS) crystals has been investigated. The pyroelectric coefficient in
creased with the phosphate concentration in the crystal. The relativel
y higher permittivity of TGSP reduced the pyroelectric figure of merit
. Partial substitution of other amino acids such an aniline, alanine,
arginine and valine in the place of glycine enhanced the pyroelectric
coefficient, while hystidine mixed TGS displayed a reduced parameter.
