Abstract
A simple chemical displacement method is used for the conversion of th in films of CdS into Ag2S and CdSe into Ag2Se. Thin films of CdS and C dSe were prepared by a chemical deposition method onto glass and stain less steel substrates. These films were dipped in AgNO3 solution to co nvert them into Ag2S and Ag2Se films. Their structural, electrical and optical properties have been studied.
