A simple model will be used to generate a simultaneous anisotropic and
astigmatic gaussian Schell-model source and to analyse the behaviour
of the spatial coherence and intensity distributions on the propagatio
n from the near (included the source plane) to far zone. Some special
cases are reported where the ellipse of the spatial coherence rotates
by 180 degrees from the source plane to the far zone. The conditions,
that allow to distinguish between this situation and no rotation, will
be established. Other cases, where the behaviour of the coherence and
intensity in the near zone can be carried out with the information fr
om the far zone and the source plane, will be reported.
