Dp. Newton, TEACHING PACKAGES AND THEIR EVALUATION THROUGH A SURROGATE TEACHER MODEL, ETTI. Educational & training technology international, 30(4), 1993, pp. 375-385
Teaching packages, containing a range of materials, are widely availab
le. Their evaluation can be a complex process because of the mixture o
f media. This article describes how treating such packages as surrogat
e teachers can help to structure the process. An evaluation schedule b
ased on this model is also offered. Because of its basis, teachers hav
e been found to relate to it readily and also to reports derived from
the process.
