In [1] an efficient method for obtaining the space dependent energy el
ectron distribution (EED) is reviewed and some limitations related to
its applicability are extensively discussed by comparisons with one di
mensional Monte Carlo simulations. This work aims to clarify the reaso
ns for some of these limits and to present a fundamental limitation wh
ich was not considered in [1].
