Abstract
A possible method for obtaining the crystal potential by inversion of the complex wavefield at the exit surface of the specimen, based on re versal of the multislice algorithm, is outlined. Results from prelimin ary testing of the method using computer-simulated data are presented and appear promising, although the limits of applicability of the meth od art yet to be defined.
