Abstract
The effect of the seed rotation rate on the morphology of Bi12SiO20 (B SO) crystals has been investigated. The grown crystals were investigat ed by optical and scanning electron microscopy. The factors responsibl e for core formation, precipitates, microcracks and faceting are discu ssed.
