A useful method for nickel determination in infant formulas is describ
ed. After dry digestion of the sample, a differential pulse cathodic s
tripping voltammetry (DPCSV) method is applied. After checking the abs
ence of interferences, the analytical parameters of the method (linear
ity, detection and quantitation limits, precision and accuracy) were d
etermined. The values obtained show that the method studied is reprodu
cible, accurate and sensitive enough to be useful for the analysis of
infant formulas.
