MULTICOMPONENT PROCESS UV SPECTROMETER

Described is a multicomponent instrument with a photodiode array for p rocess control applicatons of gaseous and liquid streams. The spectral region between 200 nm and 350 nm is used, where the absorptances of m any compounds are high so that a low limit of detection results. A sta ble and long-lived xenon flash lamp is used to provide long service in tervals. Fast transputer technology combined with a non-linear regress ion algorithm (PLS) enables the spectrometer to distinguish very simil ar spectra online in real time. This instrument is intended for exampl e for emission control.
