Abstract
This paper describes the preparation of Ag-Pd alloy single crystals by the vertical Bridgman method. Solidification structures were detected for all the alloys studied. The solute distribution was examined usin g scanning Auger microscopy and microindentation and was in good agree ment with theoretical models. Homogeneous samples could be obtained af ter annealing.
