Abstract
The intersection of the MRTD vs angular frequency curve and MTF vs ang ular frequency curve would signify the limiting angular frequency of t arget - intervening medium - objective lens - detector - electronics - display combination. The range of a thermal imaging system can be est imated from the measurement of this limiting angular frequency.
