Abstract
Transient processes in light interaction with matter can lead to Doppl er-like frequency shifts. ''Hubble'' law is directly derived when the observed redshift is attributed to Doppler effect. Numerical estimatio ns show the relevance of the light-induced Doppler-like frequency shif t effects in nature. Speculations concerning cosmological problems are presented.
