DEVELOPMENT OF A SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER-AIDE D TAXI TRAFFIC CONTROL

Growing capacitiy problems at the major commercial airports call for a n improved taxi guidance by the controllers. Therefore a system (TARMA C) is under development, which extends the basic traffic situation dis play and monitoring functions by computer-based support to plan an eff icient flow of taxi operations. With regard to this objective, structu ral and numerical approaches are pointed out. The evolutionary, develo pment leading to a simulated test environment is described.
