DIN ISO-9002 IN A MEAT PROCESSING PLANT E XEMPLIFIED AT THE RECEIVINGINSPECTION .2. QUALITY DATA DOCUMENTATION AND CLASSIFICATION OF THE SUPPLIERS

From June 1992 to December 1993 on 114 deliveries of meat a receiving inspection in a meat processing plant was performed using a specially developed quality procedure. The quality data documentation was sepera ted into pork and beef where the whole inspection intervall was devide d into two parts to be able to show, how the corrective actions worked . These corrective actions and the consequent documentation not only s howed big differences between the four pork- and eight beef-suppliers, they also led to the exclusion of two suppliers, as they were not abl e to fulfill the quality level. The evaluation of the suppliers was pe rformed using a modified version of the FMEA. It is now used to classi fy the supplieres.
