Abstract
Phase equilibria along the Hg3S2Br2-Hg3TeBr4 and Hg3S2Br2-Hg3Te2Br2 jo ins of the HgS-HgTe-HgBr2 ternary system were studied by XRD and DTA. The phase diagrams of the joins in question and the 470-K section of t he ternary phase diagram were constructed. The crystal structures of a lpha-Hg3S2Br2, beta-Hg3S2Br2, and Hg3TeBr4 were determined.
