Viscosities are estimated for a 46.5wt.%CaO-53.5wt.%Al2O3 composition
melt. The Hagen-Poiseuille law is employed to extract viscosity inform
ation from two types of inviscid melt-spinning experiments. Calculated
viscosities range from 0.31 to 3.2 poise over a temperature range of
1370-1510-degrees-C. Results are compared to literature values for a m
elt of similar composition.
