Abstract
The National Broiler Council and Southeastern Poultry and Egg Associat ion sponsored a study to determine whether various processing modifica tions would significantly alter the microflora of processed broilers. The results of this study were presented as part of the symposium and have been published in the Journal of Applied Poultry Research. Other current research topics covered include water recycling, scald and chi ll water treatments, and the effects of dietary manipulation on intest inal colonization and carcass contamination.
