R. Fabien et al., QUANTITATIVE-ANALYSIS OF SYNTHETIC MIXTURES OF TRIACYLGLYCEROLS WITH FATTY-ACIDS FROM CAPRYLIC TO STEARIC, Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 70(6), 1993, pp. 551-554
Separation and quantitation of triacylglycerols tricaprylin to tristea
rin was achieved by high-performance liquid chromatography with refrac
tive index detection and an eluent composed of propionitrile and butyr
onitrile (80-20, vol/vol). Peak identification was based on the logari
thms of retention times, and quantitation was achieved by way of theor
etical relative response factors. The validity of the response factor
calculations was tested by analysis of primary standard mixtures of sa
turated triacylglycerols and of triacylglycerols obtained by intereste
rification of binary mixtures of monoacid triacylglycerols.
