Abstract
This paper presents reliability and availability analyses of a two uni t parallel system with warm standby and common-cause failures. The sta ndby and switching mechanisms are subject to failure. The failed syste m repair times are assumed to be arbitrarily distributed. Expressions for Laplace transforms of system state probabilities, steady state sys tem availability, system reliability, and mean time to failure are dev eloped.
