Gy. Guo et Yl. Chen, OPTICAL-PROPERTIES AND CHEMICAL DURABILITY OF LEAD INDIUM ALUMINUM PHOSPHATE-GLASS, Materials chemistry and physics, 35(1), 1993, pp. 49-52
The optical properties and chemical durability of lead-indium-aluminum
phosphate glass prepared by a wet-chemical process have been investig
ated. Ultraviolet-visible and infrared spectra were recorded for the g
lass. The refraction index of the glass was measured as a function of
wavelength in the visible region of the spectrum. The long-term chemic
al durability of the glass in acidic and basic aqueous solutions was e
xamined at a high temperature. The results are compared with recent da
ta for other phosphate glasses, and indicate that lead-indium-aluminum
phosphate glass has a promising combination of good optical propertie
s and chemical durability.
