Abstract
The particle size distribution measured by a phase-Doppler anemometer depends on the user setting of the different parameters of the signal processor of the instrument like trigger level, amplification etc. Two series of measurement were conducted to find the influence of such pa rameters on the measured size distribution. It is found that signal am plifications strongly influences the mean diameter of the distribution .
