Abstract
Starting from the amplitude-encoded binary phase-only filter, a 4-grey level quantized amplitude-compensated matched filter is proposed. Com puter simulations show that amplitude quantization has little effect o n the filter performance. The proposed spatial filter possesses excell ent discrimination capability, and can be implemented using a spatial light modulator in real-time operations.
