Abstract
Over 900 employees in manufacturing jobs across a number of industrial organizations were surveyed to determine levels of pay and benefits, and satisfaction level with each. The sample was divided between publi c and private sector organizations and between union and nonunion empl oyees. Relationships were explored between levels of, and satisfaction with, pay and benefits, and between organization type and union statu s and satisfaction levels.
