The electrodeposition process of zinc is simulated by a Monte Carlo te
chnique. The growth patterns, average height grown and growth rate at
different overpotentials and concentrations obtained by simulation are
compared with those reported from experiment. The electrolyte solutio
n assumed in this study contains only Zn ions. The algorithm has been
optimized so that it is possible to do this simulation in a minicomput
er within a reasonable amount of time.
