E. Lochbihler et al., INVESTIGATIONS BY MEANS OF ENZYME IMMUNOA SSAYS ON THE OCCURRENCE OF ANTIBIOTICS AND SULFONAMIDES IN BAVARIAN DRINKING MILK, Archiv für Lebensmittelhygiene, 46(3), 1995, pp. 60-62
Eighthundred consumer milk samples from all Bavarian dairies were anal
ysed from March 1992 to March 1993 for residues of several antibiotics
(chloramphenicol, tetracyclines, streptomycines) and sulfonamides by
using enzyme immunoassays. The samples were additionally assayed in a
microbiological test system (Brillantblack reduction test). Three samp
les were positive in the microbiological test. None of the 800 samples
was positive in the immunochemical tests, which had detection limits
for the individual analytes well below the respective maximum residue
limits.
