Abstract
In a meta-analysis of warnings literature, the authors examine empiric al studies containing no-warning control groups to address the questio n of whether the presence of on-product warnings increases the safe be havior of product users. The major findings of the study are that (1) warnings increase safe behavior and (2) this increase is found for bot h nonstudent and student subjects.
