The oxygen stoichiometry of GdBa2(Cu1-xFex)(3)O6+delta was studied as
a function of iron content (x = 0-0.2) over the temperature range 400-
900 degrees C in air. The decrease in delta on heating to 900 degrees
C was found to be larger at small x. The results are interpreted in te
rms of Fe occupancy on the Cu(1) and Cu(2) sites.
