Abstract
Students in a course on Social and Personality Development wrote term papers about 10 aspects of child and adolescent development depicted i n an animated film of their choice. Film analysis required using theor y and research from the course. The assignment received favorable rati ngs. The animated film assignment appears to improve students' underst anding of course material and helps students evaluate the types of fil ms that children frequently see.
