C. Foster et L. Godkin, EMPLOYMENT SELECTION IN HEALTH-CARE - THE CASE FOR STRUCTURED INTERVIEWING, Health care management review, 23(1), 1998, pp. 46-51
The literature related to selection interviewing dates, nt least, to 1
915. The focus of that literature and the conclusions represented by t
he various authors assumed that the employment selection interview her
d limited validity or predictive value until the late 1980s. Papers ap
pearing since contradict those conclusions. This article proposes that
the selection interview can be a valid portion of the hiring process
to the degree that each is highly structured.
