R. Elmallawany et al., RADIATION EFFECT ON THE ULTRASONIC-ATTENUATION AND INTERNAL-FRICTION OF TELLURITE GLASSES, Materials chemistry and physics, 52(2), 1998, pp. 161-165
The first measurements of radiation effect on the ultrasonic attenuati
on in tellurite glasses have been carried out in the semiconducting te
rnary tellurite glasses in the form 50TeO(2)-(50-x) V2O5-x-Ag2O where
x = 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 wt.%. The ultrasonic attenuation coefficients ha
ve been measured at the frequency 4 MHz and at room temperature. The i
nternal friction inside these glasses has been calculated. Also, the e
ffect of gamma-rays doses on the values of the internal friction has b
een achieved through the doses 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 Gr
