Abstract
We have developed a computer simulation algorithm for quantitative exa mination of the errors induced in FT-IR measurements by non-linearity. Using this program, we have investigated the effect of non-linearity on the measurement of transmittance for several types of optical filte rs and materials, including neutral-density filters, bandpass filters, and samples with absorption bands.
