A simulation of the frequency response in MSM detectors based on n-Hg1
-xCdxTe has been compared with experimental data. After a low frequenc
y roll-off at 300 MHz, a stable range of responsivity was evident at 2
to 20 GHz. A secondary roll-off has been predicted at 30 GHz due to e
lectrode structure of the detector. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All
